Hello, and welcome to the Spiritual Enlightenment Blog. You’ve found your way here, and that means you are, in your own way, on a path to Spiritual Enlightenment. This place isn’t about any particular such path, but rather like the tavern you passed by, in which you heard a great joke that made you realize something important, or the flowers you picked, that inspired you to move on with renewed strength, or the roadsign you saw, that helped you realize a shortcut towards your goal. This is a place where you can find an inspiring thought, a beautiful song or an insightful film. It is also a place that can point you to some of the great teachers that exist out there. This is a guide to Spiritual Enlightenment, in the various forms you can find it around the internet. Take a look around, see if you find just the thing you didn’t know you were looking for.

Now, what can a stand-up comedian teach you about Spiritual Enlightenment? In this case, A LOT. The main reason to check this guy out, is if you’re one of those spiritual people who take themselves too seriously. Spirituality is about LIVING, not about locking yourself in your room, reading spiritual books. Here’s some links, so you may get a taste of this man’s incredible energy:
And here’s his last words, so we can all remember that life is short. Especially if you’re Bill Hicks.
So remember: It’s just a ride.
Spiritual Enlightenment and George Clooneys Butt

Ever heard of the movie Solaris (2002)?
It’s a remake of a russian movie from 1972 (directed by the genius Andrei Tarkovsky), and had a short burst of media coverage. Why? Because you can see George Clooneys butt in it. Well.
If you’re willing to look beyond that, you will find the most excellent metaphor for God ever fastened to a film reel, a soundtrack that is worth three times the price of the movie by itself and characters that are deep, original and masterfully acted.

The movie is about a widower (George Clooney) sent to investigate a space station that has lost contact with earth. The space station is circling a newfound planet, named Solaris, and it quickly becomes apparent that the planet has a rather peculiar effect on the crew. The story is told with a cinematography that is fluid, quiet and beautiful, which requires a certain patience from the viewer. If you have that, I suggest you
I promise you the ending is one of the most beautiful moments related to Spiritual Enlightenment in movie history.
A Trip to Yangtown

Here at Spiritual Enlightenment Blog, I’ve promised to point you to some of the truly great teachers around the web, and I’ve decided to begin with introducing Ryan Randolph. Through his blog Yangtown, he gives advice on how to use the Law of Attraction, how to have great relationships and how to let go of negative feelings. His approach is from masculinity, and the blog is tailored to help men find their power and experience bliss.
Yangtown is full of valuable resources, which Ryan has been kind enough to release for free. These resources include step-by-step explanations on how to let go of past trauma, how to regain your strength in and after difficult situations and how to rejuvenate your sexual energy. Both myself and many others can attest to the proficiency of these methods, and I especially find these links to be absolute gold:
How to let go of any emotional trauma
How to build non-reactive emotional strength using the zip-up
Revive Your Sex Drive: free ebook with Taoist sexual energy techniques

Good luck!
Spiritual Enlightenment and your brain

In this absolutely fascinating presentation, Jill Bolte Taylor tells you about her experience of what may be called instant enlightenment, as she has a stroke that renders her left brain completely shut down! Really, if you’re interested in Spiritual Enlightenment, there’s quite a chance you’ve seen this one before, but if you haven’t, you’re very lucky to be able to see it for the first time now!
The video is part of Ted Talks, an annual conference with presentations on various, mostly scientific topics by some very bright, creative people. You can see more talks on their site here.

“Is it possible to express the very essence of spiritual evolution in a music video?”
“Hell yes”, says Icelandic band Sigur Rós.
Sigur Rós doesn´t really support any religious or spiritual group. They just make profoundly beautiful music, and accompany it with profoundly beautiful music videos. So to kick things off in this blog, here is “Glósóli”, by Sigur Rós.
Like it? It’s from the album “Takk”, which is, from beginning to end, an absolute masterpiece and warmly recommended! You can find it here!
